Timothy Sandoval is the program director of Bright Prospect, a college access and success nonprofit in Pomona, Calif., where he is responsible for the conceptualizing, execution and evolution of Bright Prospect’s college readiness and college retention programming through the CREWS structure, resulting in a 91 percent retention/graduation rate for low-income students attending institutions ranging from community colleges to Ivy League universities. Sandoval also serves on the steering committee of the Southern California College Access Network (SoCal CAN), an alliance of over 50 nonprofit organizations working to increase the number of low-income students who access and complete a postsecondary education. Sandoval grew up in Pomona and attended one of the high schools Bright Prospect serves. He has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of California, Riverside.
