Tim Field, a senior consultant with Public Impact, consults and leads project teams on policy and school management issues, with a focus on school turnarounds and restarts (see and charter school quality and growth. Field leads many of Public Impact’s school turnaround consulting engagements with SEAs, LEAs, and schools. Recent work includes guidance to SEAs on the design and implementation turnaround leader training and support programs, planning and progress monitoring with turnaround schools, and policy guidance to SEAs and state boards on intervention strategies in low-performing schools. He was previously a regional director for the KIPP Foundation, and deputy chief of Charter, Partnership and New Schools with the School District of Philadelphia, focused on the Renaissance School initiative to turn around chronically failing schools. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College, and a master’s in business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
