Susan Campbell Lounsbury joined the Southern Regional Education Board in February 2014, as the director of education data services. She has more than 25 years of experience in higher education policy and practice. In her current role, Lounsbury is responsible for coordinating the collection of data for the SREB State Data Exchange, analyzing data collected in the Data Exchange and through other means, and producing publications such as the SREB Fact Book on Higher Education and Indicators Report. Prior to joining SREB, she was the assistant vice chancellor for research and policy analysis with the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. Before that, Lounsbury was a program evaluator for the Legislative Office of Education Oversight in Columbus, Ohio. Lounsbury holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Louisiana State University, a master’s in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University, and a doctorate in higher education from Pennsylvania State University. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Association for Institutional Research and the Southern Association for Institutional Research.
