Russell A. Sabella is a professor of counseling in the Department of Counseling, College of Health Professions and Social Work at Florida Gulf Coast University. He is also president of Sabella & Associates LLC and author of numerous articles published in journals, magazines and newsletters. He is co-author of three books, including “Confronting Sexual Harassment: Learning Activities for Teens,” “Counseling in the 21st Century: Using Technology to Improve Practice,” and “Stress Management.” Sabella is author of the popular A Friendly and Practical Guide to the World Wide Web and A Practical Guide to Keeping Kids Out of High-Tech Trouble, and is well known for his Technology and Data Boot Camp for Counselors workshops. Sabella was president of the American School Counselor Association from 2003 to 2004 and the Florida School Counselor Association from 2013 to 2014. He has trained and consulted throughout the country in areas such as cyberbullying, online/digital reputation, technology literacy, social networking, solution-focused counseling and parent conferences, and comprehensive school counseling.
