Ronald Nuzzi is a Roman Catholic priest of the Diocese of Youngstown, Ohio, and currently serves as the senior director of the Alliance for Catholic Education’s RISE (Renewing Identity, Strengthening Evangelization) initiative at the University of Notre Dame. He previously was founding senior director of the Alliance for Catholic Education’s Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program. Ordained in 1984, Nuzzi has a long record of service to Catholic education at every level, including teaching in parish schools; high school administration; university teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels; and university administration. Nuzzi has authored or edited a number of books, including two published in recent months: “Striving for Balance, Steadfast in Faith: The Notre Dame Study of U.S. Catholic Elementary School Principals” and “Building Assets: The Strategic Use of Closed Catholic Schools.” Both were co-authored by ACE faculty members Jim Frabutt and Anthony Holter. Books including the two-volume encyclopedia “Catholic Schools in the United States” and “Handbook of Research on Catholic Education” were edited by Nuzzi, along with Thomas C. Hunt and Ellis A. Joseph.
