Robert Ivry is the senior vice president of development and external affairs at MDRC, where he has worked for 35 years. Ivry plays a major leadership role in developing MDRC’s portfolio across the education pipeline, including pre-k, high school reforms, college access and readiness, postsecondary success, and second chance alternative programs for returning dropouts. He manages program development and dissemination across MDRC’s five policy areas. This involves the incubation and launch of new projects at the front end, and working with government officials, national organizations, federal and state agencies, Congressional staff, public interest groups, foundations, practitioners, and research organizations to actively communicate key findings to inform public policy and improve practice in the field. Ivry is an officer and part of the management team at MDRC, and he also oversees fundraising from public and private sources for MDRC’s annual budget. He received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Johns Hopkins University.
