Raquel Rall is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education where she earned her doctorate degree in urban education policy. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in human biology and African and African American Studies from Stanford University. Her research is concentrated in two main areas: leadership, governance, and administration of higher education, and equity. Within these two areas, Rall strives to identify best practices to increase access to and success in higher education for traditionally marginalized communities and on bridging research and practice. Her recent work examines executive leadership and boards of trustees at universities, with additional areas of interest including college preparation and access, and the academic experiences and success of students of color.
