Raegen Miller is the research director of FutureEd in the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University. Previously, he spent four years managing external research partnerships at Teach for America and four years analyzing policy and conducting research at the Center for American Progress. He was a teacher educator at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in applied data analysis and is also a former National Board certified AP calculus teacher and teachers union president. Miller has been interviewed extensively by reporters on teacher workforce policy and has published in several research publications, including National Bureau for Economic Research and peer-reviewed journals. He has been a journal referee, a National Science Foundation review panelist and a principal investigator for an NSF-funded project to recruit and train computer science teachers. He has a doctorate in administration, planning and social policy from Harvard GSE.
