Rachel oversees all aspects of developing Great Minds’ English and History curricula. She leads a team of teacher-writers who craft cohesive, knowledge-rich content. Rachel joined Great Minds in 2015 after serving as Vice President, Literacy Content and Instruction, for Scholastic Education. She brings over a decade of experience as a teacher. Rachel began her career teaching 3rd and 8th grade in New York City, and then taught World and American literature at a high school in Pittsburgh. She received a B.A. in English Literature from Vassar College, as well as an M.Ed in Secondary Education from Hunter College of the City University of New York. Rachel was awarded the Harry Singer Foundation Teacher Forum award in 2001.
