Peg Tyre is the author of two books on education, “The Good School” and the best-selling “The Trouble With Boys.” She was a Spencer fellow at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. She has written for The Atlantic, The New York Times, Newsweek and Time. She is currently director of strategy at the Edwin Gould Foundation, which invests in organizations that get low-income students to and through college.
