As a parent of a child with a disability Pamela Bisceglia gained practical experience regarding the education of children with disabilities. She served on a wide variety of committees, including Denver Public Schools District School Improvement and Advisory Council, which is charged with reviewing and recommending charter school applications. For 18 years Bisceglia worked for the Office of Special Education within the Denver Public Schools. Bisceglia currently works as a child and family advocate with AdvocacyDenver, where her work includes individual advocacy, research and assistance, and the promotion of systemic change/compliance with state and federal law.
