Natasha Deflorian joined the International Baccalaureate (IB) in August 2010 after teaching English in both North and South America. Deflorian has experience working with all four IB programmes and currently serves as the global manager of pre-authorization services. From 2011 to 2016, Deflorian served as the career-related programme (CP) associate manager for the Americas region and supported the authorization of the first 100 CP schools in the region. In her previous role at IB, she worked closely with a variety of schools, educational systems and leaders and developed a deep understanding of career and technical education and the benefits for students as they become lifelong learners in a global society. Deflorian has nearly 10 years of experience working in education and is extremely passionate about access to quality education for all. Deflorian graduated from James Madison University in 2004 with bachelor’s degrees in international affairs and Spanish.
