Michelle Torgerson is president and CEO of Raising A Reader, a nonprofit organization that provides resources and guidance for families to implement home-based literacy routines. Previously Torgerson was senior executive director of Reading Partners, a literacy intervention organization. She also held executive positions at College Possible, a nonprofit that makes college admission and success possible for low-income students through an intensive curriculum of coaching and support. Torgerson holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a master’s of public administration from Baruch College, where she was also a National Urban Fellow.
