Martha Snyder is senior associate with HCM Strategists. She provides policy expertise and strategic counsel on the issues of accountability, college readiness and Common Core implementation for Achieve, the Bush Institute and the College Board. She also leads a strand of work for the Lumina Foundation-supported Productivity Strategy Labs Network focused on performance funding. Before her tenure at HCM, Snyder worked as a senior policy advisor at the U.S. Department of Education, focusing on K-12 accountability, high school reform and special education. She also served as an associate director for the White House Domestic Policy Council, developing budget priorities and providing analysis and counsel on all federal education issues. Snyder later graduated from Syracuse University with a master’s degree in public administration and pursued a career in education policy to help expand educational opportunities for students.
