Mark Anderson has spent seven years in the classroom as a special education teacher in the Bronx. He has worked in both self-contained and inclusive settings at the elementary- and middle-school levels. He currently serves as an instructional lead in English language arts, providing professional learning sessions and in-school supports for middle-school ELA teachers across the Bronx. His writing on education has been published on sites such as Chalkbeat New York First Person, The Core Knowledge Blog, ASCD Express, and on his own blog, Schools & Ecosystems. He is an alumnus of the New York Educator Voice Fellowship, the LearnZillion Dream Team, Coro New York Education Leadership Collaborative, and New York City Department of Education’s teacher leadership program and leadership advancement program.
