Marcie J. Bober-Michel is area coordinator and graduate advisor for the Learning Design and Technology program, which is now part of the School of Journalism and Media Studies at San Diego State University. For more than 20 years, Bober-Michel has served as lead evaluator on several federal grants targeting public schools, including initiatives to stimulate effective use of advanced technologies in the classroom and improve student learning and workforce readiness. She also consults extensively with corporations, nonprofits and professional associations interested in assessing technology’s impact on productivity, creativity, risk-taking, morale and group interactions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Oregon, a master’s degree in educational technology from San Diego State University, and a doctorate in learning and instructional technology from Arizona State University.
