Manuela Ekowo is a policy analyst with the Education Policy program at New America. She provides research and analysis on policies related to higher education including innovations in higher education delivery, the use of technology, and ensuring equitable outcomes for underrepresented students. Her writing has been featured in such media outlets as EdSurge, Pacific Standard, The EvoLLLution, and The American Youth Policy Forum. Prior to joining New America, Ekowo worked at the Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP) as a research assistant where she provided research support and analysis on various higher education policies with a focus on access and success for low-income, nontraditional students. She also served as the project manager for CLASP’s Alliance for Quality Career Pathways. Ekowo holds a bachelor’s degree in government and legal studies from Bowdoin College.
