Kevin Woods is a commissioner for Memphis/Shelby County Schools and director of career development for New Horizons. He gets to work with companies and individuals that try to figure out how to use technology and processes to be more efficient and effective. He is also a proud member of Stand for Children, a child advocacy group dedicated to closing the achievement gap for all children. Woods has been invited to the President’s Club with New Horizons and a recent selection to participate in the Leadership Academy Fellows Program, through which he will continue to advocate for change through service in order to provide a better Memphis for his children and all children in Shelby County. He attended the University of Memphis and obtained a degree in engineering and a master’s degree in business.
