Kenneth Elpus is associate professor and coordinator of music education at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he researches music and arts education in the United States as principal investigator of the Music and Arts Education Data Lab. A former public school teacher, Elpus focuses his research attention on issues of arts education and education policy; issues of diversity, representation, and access to music and arts education; and arts education as a context for social-emotional learning and development.
