Kathleen Curry Santora has been president and CEO of the National Association of College and University Attorneys since 2001. Before joining NACUA, she was vice president and chief operating officer of the American Association for Higher Education. She previously served in various positions at Georgetown University, including assistant to the president/chief of staff. For nearly 10 years prior to that, Santora worked for the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) as vice president for operations and counsel; executive director and counsel for state relations; associate director of government relations; associate general counsel; and legislative representative. She has also served as director for public policy and external relations at the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges. Santora has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Scranton and a law degree from the Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar and serves on the boards of the University of Scranton and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
