Joanne Picone-Zocchia, vice-president of Learner-Centered Initiatives Ltd., helps educators to incorporate systems thinking skills and processes as they address issues of systemic, sustainable educational improvement. An educator herself, Picone-Zocchia supports schools and school leaders in strategic planning, visioning, restructuring and organizational development. Picone-Zocchia also serves as vice president of Communities for Learning: Leading Lasting Change, where her work includes facilitating ARCS, a framework that supports sustainable improvement initiatives. A published curriculum designer and author, Picone-Zocchia has authored and coauthored a variety of articles and books, including “Changing the Way You Teach, Improving the Way Students Learn,” and is the lead author of the Multidimensional Principal Performance Rubric evaluation system.
