Senior Director, South Central Zone

Jim Williamson has served as the senior director of the South Central Zone for the Nashville After Zone Alliance initiative through the PENCIL Foundation since 2010. Before joining the NAZA team, Williamson worked with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee for eight years. As vice president of program services, he oversaw all aspects of the operations of five Club sites and provided leadership in the areas of program quality, staff management and budget development. As the founding Nashville city director for the Center for Student Missions, Williamson worked to establish partnerships with 30 area nonprofits and provided nearly 27,000 volunteer service days. He has also worked with several government agencies, including the Refugee Services Division of Metro (Nashville) Social Services. Williamson earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Middle Tennessee State University and a master’s degree in social work with an emphasis in management and community service from the University of Tennessee.
