Jessica Hockett, Ph.D., has been a full-time education consultant for 13 years, specializing in interactive & differentiated instruction, standards-aligned curriculum & performance task design, gifted education, classroom grouping practices, & program evaluation. Her work with over 100 schools, districts, & organizations has supported a wide range of initiatives centered on improving teacher & student learning. She is the co-author (with Kristina Doubet) of Differentiation in Middle & High School: Strategies to Engage All Learners & Differentiation in the Elementary Grades: Strategies to Engage & Equip All Learners. Jessica also co-authored Exam Schools: Inside America’s Most Selective Public High Schools with Chester E. Finn, Jr., a big-picture look at a high-performing, little-studied niche of American education. Jessica is an Instructor for the University of Virginia Curry School of Education Online Masters programs, teaching graduate courses in Differentiated Instruction, Assessment, & Creativity & Problem Solving. She holds degrees from the University of Virginia (PhD), University of Connecticut (M.A.), & National-Louis University (M.A.T.), & Columbia College Chicago (B.A.)
