Jeff Edmondson is managing director of StriveTogether, a national cradle-to-career initiative helping children succeed from birth through career. Edmondson was founding executive director of the StrivePartnership in Cincinnati and northern Kentucky, a partnership aimed at increasing educational achievement and attainment of students. Prior to joining the partnership, Edmondson served as the chief of staff to the CEO at KnowledgeWorks Foundation, worked as the Peaceable Schools coordinator at Woodrow Wilson Senior High School in Washington, D.C., aligning community resources around school outcomes, and served as a program officer at the 21st Century School Fund, where he drafted legislation related to school facilities. He also served in Peace Corps Gabon from 1996 to 1999 as a volunteer and manager. Edmondson has a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Richmond and a master’s in public policy from Johns Hopkins University. In 2012 he was named recipient of the American Express NGen Leadership Award recognizing his significant impact in addressing society’s critical social needs. Edmondson is an Ashoka fellow and a Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation social entrepreneur.
