Gwendolyn Bradley is the director of the American Association of University Professors’ Department of External Relations and senior program officer at the American Association of University Professors. She joined the AAUP in 2000 as the assistant editor of the AAUP’s bi-monthly publication, Academe. From 2003 to 2006 she served as director of publications and associate secretary and served as Academe’s managing editor. As the department head of external relations, Bradley oversees communications, including the website, social media, and both print and electronic publications. She received her doctorate in English at Rutgers University, where she taught courses in literature, composition, business writing and learning skills. She has written several articles and has presented in subjects ranging from contingent faculty, administration, academic freedom and communication.
