Gary Clabaugh spent two years active duty as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, three years teaching seventh grade world geography, and 46 years in teacher preparation both as an administrator and program designer as well as a professor. He has a special interest in educational policy studies and has published three books and well over 100 articles. Clabaught is presently managing editor of New Educational Foundations, an education policy-related journal. He is also co-founder and partner of, an education website featuring general forensics, phronetic and metacognitive foci on professional education for the reflective practitioner. Over the past five years the website has averaged over 2 million document downloads per year.
