Eric Felix is a research assistant working with Estela M. Bensimon at the University of Southern California Center for Urban Education. His research examines the role of higher education policy in addressing educational inequities for students of color, particularly within community college. He recently co-authored a book chapter, “California’s Student Equity Policy: An Unexploited Opportunity among Hispanic-Serving Community Colleges,” examining the ways state policy is implemented to address and improve equity issues for Latinx students. Other research interests include community college finance and improving the transfer process for racially-minoritized students. Felix is a doctoral candidate in the urban education policy program at the University of Southern California.
