Eric Camburn is an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Camburn’s research involves two related lines of inquiry: the investigation of factors that support instructional improvement and the use of survey methods for studying instructional improvement. Research in the first area has addressed how teacher learning opportunities affect their improvement efforts, how leadership can serve as a resource supporting instructional improvement, and how comprehensive reform programs can support instructional change. Camburn is currently conducting a study of an initiative designed to help high school teachers implement the Common Core State Standards.
