Emmi Harward serves as the Executive Director of ACCIS, the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools. She is tasked with day-to-day operations of the Association; whose mission is to support the essential role of college counselors as leaders in independent schools. She is a frequent presenter and panelist at regional and national conferences and speaker at professional meetings. She worked in college admissions during five years as a member of the undergraduate admission offices at Emory University in Georgia and Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. Emmi spent 15 years as a director of college counseling at two independent schools: Hampton Roads Academy in Virginia and The Bishop’s School in California. Emmi holds degrees from Emory University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and psychology and an master’s degree from The College of William and Mary in educational leadership. She is based in San Diego, California.
