David Conley is an expert on college and career readiness, college and high school course content, high school-college alignment and transition, state and national policy on college and career readiness, and large-scale diagnosis and assessment of college and career readiness. At the University of Oregon, he is a professor in the Department of Educational Methodology, Policy, and Leadership, and founder and director of the Center for Educational Policy Research. He co-chaired of the Common Core State Standards Validation Committee and is an original member of the Smarter Balanced Technical Advisory Committee. He authored “Getting Ready for College, Careers and the Common Core: What Every Educator Needs to Know.” His next book is entitled “A New Era for Educational Assessment.”
