Christopher Jencks is the Malcolm Wiener professor of social policy in the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He graduated from Harvard with an bachelor’s degree in English literature in 1958 and earned his master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 1959. He also studied sociology at the London School of Economics. Besides Harvard, Jencks has also taught at Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, and the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is the author of several written works.
