Bruce Fuller is professor of education and public policy at the University of California, Berkeley. He focuses on how organizations decentralize to better serve children, families and clients – the topic of his recent book, “Organizing Locally,” published by The University of Chicago Press. Fuller is author of “Standardized Childhood and Government Confronts Culture.” A former research sociologist at the World Bank, Fuller taught at Harvard University before returning to California. His writing has appeared in The Washington Post, The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle and Commonweal.
