Ashley Bessire Martinez is an assistant principal at KIPP Austin Comunidad, a dual language school located in Austin, Texas. She specializes in bilingual education and teaching English-language learners. Martinez is currently pursuing a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with a focus on language and literacy studies at The University of Texas at Austin. She is a returned Peace Corps volunteer who has experience in teaching both elementary and high school students.
