Arthur VanderVeen is the CEO and founder of New Meridian Corporation. He works works with with its Board of Directors and executive team to set the strategic direction, overall strategy, and priorities to achieve New Meridian’s mission. This includes recruiting, retaining, and developing a talented, mission-driven organization and cultivating a culture aligned with New Meridian’s values of Quality, Transparency, Integrity and Responsiveness. VanderVeen has 20 years’ experience in education assessment and technology organizations. Prior to founding New Meridian, VanderVeen was Vice President of Business Strategy and Development for Compass Learning. There, he led the company’s strategy to partner with formative assessment providers to deliver personalized digital learning pathways for each individual student. Previously, VanderVeen served in several roles with the New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE) — including Chief of Innovation and Executive Director of Assessments.
