Ann Cunningham-Morris is director of professional learning and field services for the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and a member of the ASCD Professional Learning Services faculty. During her 30-year career, she has been a district-level instructional administrator; director of staff development; high school, middle school and elementary principal; classroom teacher; special education resource leader; job development specialist; and adjunct professor. She has also been an educational consultant to school systems throughout the world in the areas of curriculum development, designing effective professional development programs, instructional leadership, assessment literacy, instructional best practices, and supporting high academic achievement for diverse student populations. Cunningham-Morris received a bachelor’s degree in special education from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in education from Georgia State University. She has completed the Certificate of Advanced Studies program and post-graduate work in educational leadership at Illinois State University and the nonprofit executive leadership program at Georgetown University.
