Angela Eeds is director of the School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt, a joint venture between Vanderbilt University and Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. The program offers high school students a four-year, interdisciplinary, research-centered learning experience in a university setting. Each grade level is limited to 26 Metro Nashville students. Eeds is both a teacher and mentor to the students and conveys critical thinking and writing skills in addition to hard science mastery. She earned her doctorate from the department of molecular physiology and biophysics at Vanderbilt.
