Stacia Cedillo is a program specialist at the Education Writers Association. She develops content for EWA events, conducts research and writes for the organization’s website, and supports other EWA programs.
Stacia is a former middle school teacher who lived in Austin, Texas, prior to joining EWA. As a graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin, she researched issues around race and teacher education and served as an assistant instructor for pre-service teachers. Stacia was a legislative policy intern in the Texas House of Representatives during the 2019 legislative session.
Stacia has completed doctoral coursework in the cultural studies in education program at UT Austin, where she also earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Princeton University.
