Kathleen A. Plinske es presidente de los Planteles de Osceola y Lake Nona​ del Valencia College. También es Presidente de la Junta de la Education Foundation of Osceola County, fue presidente del Club de Rotarios de Lake Nona y es Miembro de la Junta de la organización CareerSource Central Florida. Plinske obtuvo su diploma universitario en español y física de la Indiana University-Bloomington, una maestría en español de la Roosevelt University, un doctorado en tecnología educativa de la Pepperdine University y una maestría en administración de empresas de la University of Florida. En el 2010, Plinske fue reconocida como una de 24 líderes emergentes del mundo por la organización Phi Delta Kappa y el Orlando Business Journal la nombró Mujer del Año en el 2012 en su competencia 40 Under 40. Kathleen A. Plinske serves as president of the Osceola and Lake Nona campuses at Valencia College. She is also chair of the board of the Education Foundation of Osceola County, past president of the Rotary Club of Lake Nona, and a member of the board of CareerSource Central Florida. Plinske earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and physics from Indiana University-Bloomington, a master’s in Spanish from Roosevelt University, a doctorate in educational technology from Pepperdine University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida. In 2010 Plinske was recognized as one of 24 emerging leaders in the world by Phi Delta Kappa, and was named 2012 Woman of the Year by the Orlando Business Journal in their 40 Under 40 competition. She was named as the 2012 Outstanding Young Alumnus by Indiana University, received the 2013 Alumni Distinguished Leadership Award from the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, and in 2014 received the Compadre Award from the Hispanic Business Council of the Kissimmee/Osceola Chamber of Commerce and the Don Quijote Hispanic Community Champion Award from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando.
