Eric Gorski is the bureau chief of Chalkbeat Colorado, part of a network of nonprofit news sites covering educational change. Before joining Chalkbeat in August 2015, Gorski was a staff writer for The Denver Post, where he was part of an investigative projects team and covered K-12 education, Colorado’s pioneering experiment in marijuana legalization and other issues. Gorski formerly covered the religion beat for a number of years, including a stint as a national writer for The Associated Press. He has won numerous national awards for his religion writing and was part of The Denver Post’s Pulitzer Prize-winning coverage of the 2012 Aurora movie theater shooting.
