Angelina Liu

Program Specialist

Angelina Liu is a program specialist at the Education Writers Association. She helps provide training, resources, professional recognition, and customized support for EWA’s members.

Angelina is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in public policy studies. As a student at Vanderbilt, she made a brief foray into broadcast journalism and wrote for the Life section of The Vanderbilt Hustler, the college’s student newspaper. In 2016, she received Second Place in Storytelling from the Long Island Press High School Journalism Awards for her JerEcho piece, “The New Girl.”

During the pandemic, she worked as the Social Media and Communications Coordinator for the Parenting in Place masterclass series featuring prominent thought leaders in parenting, neuroscience, education, and well-being. Angelina is thrilled to be a member of the team at EWA and to support the nation’s education journalists.
