DERRY, N.H. – June 12, 2019 – CoderZ, the virtual coding and robotics solution, will be the main feature in a panel session at the 2019 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference and Expo to help educators learn how to organize a cyber robotics coding competition (CRCC). CoderZ will also host its own coding competition for educators attending the annual technology conference on Monday, June 24th at 4:15PM or Tuesday, June 25th at 5:45PM at the PAECT and NYSCATE Playground in the Broad Street Atrium.
On Wednesday, June 26, CoderZ will conduct a panel titled “Organizing a Coding Camp and Cyber Robotics Coding Competition.” In this session, educators at ISTE 2019 will learn how they can host all-inclusive virtual coding competitions to enrich students’ STEM education and give students the opportunity to explore robotics and programming. The panel will include Todd I. Ensign, Ed. D., program manager for the NASA IV&V Educator Resource Center at Fairmont State University in WV; Ben Smith, supervisor of edtech at Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 in PA; and Nate Greene, Ed. D. from the Office of Academics & Professional Learning in New Hampshire Department of Education.
Also at ISTE 2019, CoderZ will host the first-of-its-kind CRCC for educators attending the conference. Using the online CoderZ platform, teachers will compete against each other by coding virtual robots to complete missions. An iPad will be awarded to the winner of the competition.
“We’re excited to bring a CRCC to ISTE 2019 to show educators how accessible coding and robotics are for their students,” said Ido Yerushalmi, CEO of CoderZ. “After attending the CRCC panel session and participating in a CRCC themselves, educators will leave ISTE with all the information they need to use CoderZ to create a CRCC in their district or school and promote STEM education for their students.”
The CRCC ISTE panel session will take place on June 26 at 9 a.m. in room 120BC. CoderZ by Intelitek will be exhibiting at the ISTE Expo in booth 1962.
CoderZ is an innovative and engaging online learning environment. Developed for students in grades 5 and above, the gamified STEM solution allows student to work at their own pace, easily programing real and virtual robots from anywhere in the world. The platform enables student to acquire computational thinking, problem solving skills and learn coding as a life skill all via a flexible and scalable virtual solution.
