Homes for Education Sets Out to Fund Classrooms One Home Sale at a Time
New real estate program provides teachers and students with more resources through real estate transactions
Delray Beach, FL – February 2019 — Homes for Education is a new real estate program designed to benefit schools, teachers, and students through local real estate transactions. Today’s education system is quite different from what it used to be and due to budget shortfalls and cuts, today’s teachers face great challenges. Quite often teachers end up using their own money to purchase supplies, making copies and other classroom essentials. This should not be the case. This reality led to the founding of Homes for Education by a teacher and a Realtor, each wanting to find a way to give back to classrooms.
Homes for Education is a free service for home buyers and sellers. Home buyers and sellers are matched with participating realtors to assist them with their real estate needs. Upon a completed home purchase or sale, Homes For Education donates 10% of the commission to help bridge the funding gap. The primary aim of the program is to provide educators with the necessary resources for their classrooms and students. The program is in partnership with Adopt A Classroom.org, a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing students the tools they need to learn. Adopt A Classroom.org handles the distribution of funds to teachers and schools, to be used at participating school supply vendors.
Homes for Education, Inc., also donates a portion of its earnings to the Homes for Education Foundation further reiterating its commitment to support the system. The foundation works hand in hand with Adopt-A-Classroom.org to ensure that the maximum donation amounts are is passed along directly to teachers and schools.
