Bloomington, Ill. – April 28, 2020 – The recently signed Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) has designated billions of dollars in stimulus funds for educational purposes, including funds that can be utilized for education technology and student mental health services. Additionally, states are able to apply for flexibility to use parts of existing Title funds to enhance distance learning capabilities. These new guidelines ensure districts have the freedom to apply federal funds to address their most urgent needs.
On Tuesday, May 5 at 1:00 p.m. EST, Dr. Kecia Ray and Susan Gentz will present a free informative webinar on “Funding Distance Learning Through the CARES Act.” The webinar––hosted by Gaggle––will discuss the intricacies of applying and qualifying for CARES Act funds and how these funds can support your district’s distance learning efforts and programs.
The free webinar will be led by education leadership and policy experts. Dr. Ray has been named as a top EdTech leader by the National School Board Association, Tech & Learning, and EdTech Digest. She has experience as a district administrator and has established award-winning instructional technology programs that were recognized nationwide. Gentz is the founder and owner of BSG Strategies, LLC, a consulting business focused on education leadership and technology through practice and policy. With her experience as a former staffer in the U.S. Senate and legislative aide in the Iowa House of Representatives, Gentz has a strong policy background and is deeply familiar with the complexities of the U.S. government.
There is no cost to join the webinar, but registration is required. For more information, visit: https://news.gaggle.net/funding-distance-learning-webinar
