College Credits for Work Experience? NJ Students Can Skip Courses Under New State Pilot Program

The program — called the New Jersey Prior Learning Assessment Network or NJ PLAN — will make it easier for students at local colleges to take tests and prepare portfolios that will allow them to prove they have enough knowledge about a subject to skip a college class. State officials expect the program will be especially helpful for working adult students who want to return to college or finish a degree.
