Cleveland Schools CEO Eric Gordon Wins 4-Year Contract Extension
The Cleveland school board voted unanimously Tuesday night to extend the contract of district CEO Eric Gordon another four years.
Gordon, who made the leap to CEO from his old job as the district’s chief academic officer in 2011, said he is “humbled and honored” to continue in the position.
He said his goal is to remain here the entire four years, which would give him the longest time as head of the district since Superintendent Paul Briggs in the 1970s.
Board members praised his leadership and the stability he has brought to the district.
