MULTI MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

The CPRE Knowledge Hub (cprehub.org) is looking for a person with a background in communications and education policy to serve as its Multimedia Communications Specialist. This position will work with other team members to conceptualize, produce written content, and contribute to a virtual space with videos, podcasts, research, and interactive forums. Manage website content and social media accounts including posting and writing content for the site, and developing and implementing social media and communication strategies to increase viewership and engagement. Conduct literature reviews on topics, recognize strong research and awareness of the education policy landscape. Draft blog posts, discussion forum topics, social media posts and other external-facing collateral for print and online publications. Occasional video and audio editing and graphic design tasks will be required. This position will require some travel. Position is contingent upon funding.
Qualifications: Exceptional written, verbal, copy editing, and interpersonal communication skills are required, as is experience in developing social media campaigns and project management. Time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively is essential. Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop). Strong knowledge of web design and experience in content management systems and instructional design. Must be proficient in content management systems and social media platforms. Experience with editing software (Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Audition or other media editing software) is preferred. Past experience as an education practitioner with familiarity with education sector and policy/reform issues and /or communications is a plus. Experience with video and audio editing software and graphic design is a plus. Master’s Degree or more and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in education or communications are strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in education or communications or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
