The Naples Daily News, a dynamic, award-winning newspaper and online operation situated in beautiful Southwest Florida, seeks a breaking news/general assignment multimedia journalist.
The ideal candidate is responsible for juggling a stream of daily stories on deadline with long-term features. The reporter must be able to shoot pictures and videos. He/she must be willing to use social media as a reporting tool and a way to push content to readers. He/she understands the importance of reporting from the field, building strong sources and tapping into those sources for exclusive, enterprise stories.
Naples is a dynamic community, among the wealthiest in the country, where corporate and government leaders live and play.
All viable candidates must have a degree in journalism and prior experience in journalism with a focus on education (1-3 years required). The position is based in Naples. Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish are preferred.
