About the Entry

After shadowing a student who survived the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Jessica Bakeman chronicled one family’s struggle to cope with the trauma of gun violence. These stories shed light on the new reality facing thousands of kids across the country who’ve survived shootings in their schools and communities.
