How many states already have a website with lots of school data?
Michigan’s education department is launching one Monday, and officials involved are saying things that make it sounds like this has never been done before–anywhere.
Are other states doing this already? (I’m guessing yes.)
Here’s what will be on Michigan’s site:
“Information on the Web site will be rolled out in phases. On Monday, there will be access to test scores, enrollment data and school report card information for each Michigan public school, including charters.
By Sept. 30, the site is to include postsecondary enrollment, high school graduation rates, college readiness data, and educator effectiveness information. Over the next year, information related to staffing, finance, crime and will be added.”
