The Education Department Joins the College Rankings Game
The U.S. Education Department has unveiled its college affordability website today, including its rankings of the most- and least-expensive colleges. As always with these types of lists, making sense of the formula takes a minute, but it’s encouraging to see the federal government hold colleges accountable by presenting this information to the public. And reporters now can use the Ed Department’s site to find/cite this cost information—a nice alternative to pulling comparable info from lists other media outlets compile.
What do you think of the Ed Department’s new site?
